Alex Shinkarovsky

Founder, Reverse Recruiting Agency

Alex Shinkarovsky helps his clients with the problems that therapy alone cannot fix: being out of work, or stuck in work that no longer fits. He is the founder of Reverse Recruiting Agency, a job-search firm that works for the candidate rather than the employer – handling applications, outreach to hiring teams, résumé and LinkedIn work, and interview preparation. The model, launched in 2024, has been covered by The Wall Street Journal, CBS News, NBC, and the BBC.

Alex holds a BS in Finance from Binghamton University. Looking for his real calling, he changed careers five times in his twenties – finance, sales, business development with hedge funds and health-tech startups, health coaching – and built his outreach system, a way of finding the right employers and reaching their hiring teams directly, for his own searches before offering it to others.

Alex is not a clinician and does not provide therapy. At the Advanced Psychology Institute, Alex works alongside the clinical team when a layoff, a career change, or a long search has become tangled with anxiety, burnout, or a loss of confidence. The clinicians work on the psychological issues the job situation has caused or worsened, and on those that hold the search back, such as interview anxiety; Alex works on the search itself, so the two are not competing for the same hour. His services are arranged and billed separately from therapy at the Institute.

Alex is based in Miami Beach and works with his clients remotely across the US and Canada.
