Dr. Valery Fradkov

LCSW, PhD

Dr. Valery Fradkov transitioned into psychology and interpersonal communication after a distinguished career in physics, mathematics, financial modeling, computer simulation, and information processing. He has worked as a theoretical physicist and material scientist at NASA, conducted quantitative analysis for Goldman Sachs and Bank of America, and served as VP of Software Architecture and Development at a successful tech startup. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers in physics and material science and taught university courses in physics, chemistry, materials science, and computer engineering.

Drawing on his background in the hard sciences, Dr. Fradkov integrates scientific principles into psychology, challenging the idea that psychological complexity is fundamentally different. He argues that complexity is relative to the questions asked—just as Earth’s orbital path can be simplified to a point mass, psychological phenomena can be made tractable through the right framework.

After validating his theories and positively impacting hundreds of lives, Dr. Fradkov founded the Advanced Psychology Institute to expand his discoveries. The institute combines education for future mental health professionals, clinical practice, and research dedicated to refining and advancing his methods.
