We are excited to offer a comprehensive 6-month training program with two months of theoretical studies and four months of closely supervised clinical practice. Graduates who excel in the program can apply for a 3-month paid internship, potentially leading to full-time employment at our Institute.
The initial phase focuses on the principles of Message-Centered Psychology (MCP). Trainees will explore the foundational concepts, understanding emotions as communication tools, and how specific feelings align with perceived realities. The emphasis will be on understanding the aims behind maladaptive behaviors rather than the reasons. Trainees will engage with MCP-based analysis of various real clinical cases, gaining clinical insights and learning practical methods.

In this phase, trainees will engage with actual clients under the guidance of a senior supervisor. Supervisors will assist in intake sessions and treatment planning, followed by the trainee conducting individual sessions. Group sessions will be co-led with the supervisor, each reviewed in weekly individual supervision meetings. This practical experience counts towards clinical licensing requirements. Trainees will also participate in group supervision sessions to learn from peer experiences.
Successful trainees may advance to a paid 3-month internship, continuing patient work under supervision. This may lead to an opportunity for long-term employment with our staff.

Continuing Education (CE) courses offer licensed mental health professionals structured learning opportunities that support their ongoing clinical development. Many licensing boards in the U.S. and Canada require clinicians to complete a certain number of CE credits each renewal cycle, as they help practitioners stay current with emerging research. Our CE programs are offered through live interactive webinars and self-paced online modules designed for flexibility and ease of use.
Each course includes professionally developed learning materials, practical clinical applications, and clear learning objectives. To receive CE credit, participants must complete all components of the course, including attendance (for live sessions), a post-course quiz, and an evaluation form. Upon successful completion, an electronic CE certificate is issued directly to the participant.
Advanced Psychology Institute (API) is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) as an Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Provider.
